For Abby and Ashlin, I would either do B and A or A and S. Alternatively, you could take a unique letter from the middle of their name. If one of them has an unusual last initial like Y, you could have one be “A” and the other be “Y”. For example, let’s say you have an Abby and an Ashlin. Use the first letter of their first name whenever possible, but if you have a duplicate, use a letter that will help you remember who it is.
